Janie Jansen

Associate Attorney

Bio

Janie Jansen has been working in the legal field since 2013, including a judicial externship at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida and a legal internship for former Georgia Governor Nathan Deal. She has also worked for several other public officials, news stations, and law offices in Tallahassee, Florida, giving her diverse and well-rounded experience in communications and public relations.

In May 2019, Janie earned her law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where she served as general editor of the Florida Journal of International Law. She is excited to begin her career as a lawyer by developing personal relationships with clients and helping people get the medical and financial support they need to get their lives back on track after suffering an injury.

Janie’s inspiration to become a lawyer came from her father, a criminal defense attorney who worked hard to represent his clients. “I grew up watching my dad fight for his clients as a criminal defense attorney and have always been inspired by his passion to represent the people of his community,” Janie says. “I have always hoped to have a career where I can make a difference in people’s lives.”

Janie’s greatest strengths are her abilities to relate to others and focus on the fine points of a task. “I believe I am empathetic and a good listener when working with others, and I pride myself on being prepared and detail-oriented,” Janie says.

When Janie isn’t at the office, she enjoys cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs, working on interior design projects, and exploring new things to do in Atlanta.
