- Studies show that you are more likely to maintain your goal for the year if you add behaviors rather than eliminate them. Try creating your New Year’s Resolution so it looks more like, “I will start doing this…” rather than, “I will quit doing this…”.
- It’s time to pace yourself! If you have multiple goals, try to achieve them one at a time. It can be overwhelming to the point where you give up all together if you have too many things you are trying to change in your daily life. Remember, slow and steady wins the race.
- Ask for support. Having friends and family support you along this journey as well as help hold you accountable can be just what you need to stick to it. Having someone to share your struggles and successes with helps make this journey less intimidating and much easier.
