Ricky Mendez was born in Los Angeles, California and raised in Madison, Georgia. He began his undergraduate studies at the University of Georgia where he graduated cum laude in Political Science with a concentration in Pre-Law. During his time as an undergrad, Ricky interned in Washington D.C. as a federal affairs intern for the League of United Latin American Citizens as a Ronald Reagan Scholar and Fund for American Studies scholar. During his time on capitol hill, Ricky played a crucial role in providing federal government senior executives with leadership development curriculums that emphasized on situational leadership, conflict management, and strategies for success. Ricky also enjoyed speaking with state senators and representatives on key issues impacting his community. As a first-generation graduate, Ricky found the importance of empowering the Latino community by committing his time to multiple Hispanic organizations that focus on academic achievement, community service and cultural awareness. Ricky looks forward to continuing his academic studies and expanding his knowledge on the legal field by attending law school.
