Marcus Thorpe
PI Attorney
Attorney Marcus Thorpe is a part of the personal injury team at Bader Scott Injury Lawyers.
Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, Mr. Thorpe attended Frederick Douglass High School. He went on to graduate from Washington University in St. Louis with a double major in psychology and political science and a minor in African American studies. He also played football in college. Marcus then graduated from Southern Illinois University with his JD, and he is licensed to practice law in the states of Indiana, Missouri, Georgia, and Illinois.
Mr. Thorpe began as a district attorney in Indianapolis, Indiana, in the domestic violence unit. Since then, he has been practicing law for 15 years and, most recently, was a prosecutor in the Henry County District Attorney’s Office. He also has experience with criminal defense and insurance defense cases. To date, his greatest victory was a $305,000 settlement for an ATV accident victim who suffered severe damage to her face.
Mr. Thorpe takes a balanced approach—professional but aggressive—to his cases. He affords each of his clients’ cases the attention to detail they deserve. He has an active presence in the local legal community, serving as the vice president of the Clayton County Bar Association and a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. He also makes time for his local community, and he has served as a coach for the Georgia High School Mock Trial since 2012.
When he’s not advocating for accident victims and their families, he enjoys weightlifting and spending time with his family, including his six-year-old daughter, Sydney.
