I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and moved to Atlanta in February 2012 after living in different cities within the US and abroad. I graduated from Interamerican University of Puerto Rico with a degree in Human Resources with a minor in marketing.I have been working for Bader Scott Injury Lawyers for the past 4 years. I was born and raised in New York and moved to Atlanta in 2014. I am Dominican. I have a certificate from UGA for paralegal studies and have been case managing for two years. I enjoy meeting and helping others. As one of my colleagues has stated “ I have never met a stranger”. When I am not in the office I am out and about attending programs that will help better the service to my clients. I enjoy salsa dancing, and I’m actually on a dance team called Dangerous Curves.
Marisa McKain is the firm’s Director of Workers' Compensation and has over 13 years of experience in workers’ compensation law and more than 30 years in office administration and personal client attention. She brings to the team a wealth of knowledge and works relentlessly to fight for the rights of our clients and their families.

Flavio joined Bader Scott Injury Lawyers shortly after graduating from Parkview High School in August of 2016. He is a bilingual student at Georgia State University pursuing a career in the legal field. Not only is he a hard-working individual, but he also enjoys socializing and helping out with the community.

Jessica joined the Bader Team, December 2016. She found her way into the legal field as an intern in 2015 and developed a great interest in helping people. When she’s not at work, she’s at her son’s soccer practice or game. She enjoys traveling, architecture, history and good food.

Humberto began working with Bader Scott Injury Lawyers in the spring of 2018 and quickly found himself at home in the legal profession. He is currently in the process of completing his paralegal certification and looks forward to advancing his career in the legal field. Humberto enjoys trying exciting new restaurants and exploring all Atlanta has to offer.
Rosa joined Bader Scott Injury Lawyers as a Legal Assistant in 2017. She currently works in the Workers Compensation department with Attorney Christopher Pugh. With their unique combined experience, they thrive to provide each one of their clients with the best services, game plan and results. Rosa understands how irritable and stressing it can be during the Workers compensation process. Thus, Rosa takes it upon herself to ensure that each client is received with a warm welcome into the firm and help to the best of her abilities to steer the ship efficiently in the right direction, while tentatively listening to client’s needs and fighting for what they deserve.
Education- Currently Rosa is attending the University of West Georgia to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree in English.

Edward Mejia is originally from Granada, Nicaragua. He graduated from Law School back in his home country at Universidad Centroamericana (UCA) and practiced law in Dispute Settlement issues related to International Trade regulations at the Department of Commerce. He was granted a scholarship to study a Master degree on International Trade and earned his Degree at Thomas Moore University.
Edward moved to Atlanta, GA over 10 years ago where he has lived most of the time. Edward was awarded a Scholarship to study in Michigan State University College of Law where he graduated from the LLM Degree designed for Foreign educated Lawyers. While studying in Michigan State University he was a board member of the LLM Student Association. Edward as a student was also a Law clerk at the Veterans Court House working with Honorable Judge Rosemarie Aquilina.
After he completed the LLM program at Michigan State College of Law he came back to Atlanta, GA and have been an active member in different organizations where he volunteers on his spare time.
Edward is a board member of the Georgia Hispanic Bar Association as Director of Memberships and he likes to be involved with the Hispanic community and participates in events of with the Nicaraguan community in Georgia.

Geena Chavez was born in The Bronx, New York and lived in Buenos Aires for three years before her family permanently relocated to Atlanta in 2004. Her parents have Paraguayan heritage but were raised in Argentina from a very young age. Geena is one of four children. Her oldest half siblings live in Spain, and her youngest brother resides in Atlanta.
Geena went to Georgia Perimeter College and received her Associates degree in Journalism before transferring to Georgia State University, where she obtained her BA in English and Communications. Her passion for storytelling and justice lead her to her next goal, to pursue a law degree in the near future. Geena joined Bader Scott Injury Lawyers in September 2018 with the intention of attaining the best legal assistant experience before continuing her education in law. She enjoys working with the team, and plans to remain at Bader Scott Injury Lawyers throughout her journey.

Brenda Segovia has been working in the legal for more than a year. She began her career in the legal field shortly after graduating high school. Jackie Suk Chrisp was born in Fort Hood, Texas and she currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalist from Georgia Southern University. She also completed the paralegal program through the University of Georgia Continuing Education. She began her legal career at the Richmond County Solicitor’s office and have since obtained experience in the private sector in Employment law and Personal Injury. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
Jackie Duran is a bilingual Workers' Compensation legal assistant. She works closely with clients throughout the life of their claim. She has been with Bader Scott Injury Lawyers since 2018. Jackie enjoys the administrative role in her position the most. Jackie is Mexican-American, born in California and raised in Georgia. Ricky Mendez was born in Los Angeles, California and raised in Madison, Georgia. He began his undergraduate studies at the University of Georgia where he graduated cum laude in Political Science with a concentration in Pre-Law. During his time as an undergrad, Ricky interned in Washington D.C. as a federal affairs intern for the League of United Latin American Citizens as a Ronald Reagan Scholar and Fund for American Studies scholar. During his time on capitol hill, Ricky played a crucial role in providing federal government senior executives with leadership development curriculums that emphasized on situational leadership, conflict management, and strategies for success. Ricky also enjoyed speaking with state senators and representatives on key issues impacting his community. As a first-generation graduate, Ricky found the importance of empowering the Latino community by committing his time to multiple Hispanic organizations that focus on academic achievement, community service and cultural awareness. Ricky looks forward to continuing his academic studies and expanding his knowledge on the legal field by attending law school.

Zulema Ochoa-Suazo was born in California but was raised in Mexico. She discovered her passion for politics and law at a young age. She began her legal career in 2014 and possesses well-developed skills plus experience in multiple fields including immigration, medical malpractice, criminal, and personal injuries.
My family is originally from Colombia, but I was born in New York and raised in Georgia. Prior to working at Bader Scott, Kawanus was the Assistant Manager at a multifamily property for 5 years.
